Profile Image

Regina Cutright Hamlin, O.D. joined our practice in August of 2010.  She was born and raised in the CSRA and then attended Clemson University where she received a B.S. in Biological Sciences with high honors in 1999.  Her Doctor of Optometry degree was completed in 2003 at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, where she graduated with high honors.  Dr. Hamlin was the recipient of several awards including Outstanding Contact Lens Clinician Award and Primary Patient Care Award for her advanced contact lens fitting skills and her overall care in patient communication and examinations.  Since graduating from optometry school, Dr. Hamlin returned to the CSRA and began practicing full-scope optometry for patients of all ages, including children as young as 3 years old.

In addition to a comprehensive eye health examination, some additional components provided by Dr. Hamlin include fitting difficult contact lenses, treating eye diseases, and examining children.  There are many visual problems that affect school performance in children; Dr Hamlin performs additional tests on children to aid in their diagnosis. Typical vision screenings test only for distance vision and are not designed to assess many of the common vision disorders in young children.  For example, even without specific complaints, many children benefit from reading glasses that greatly improve their focusing and reading comprehension.

Dr. Hamlin takes pride in her patient care and strives to provide exceptional service to every patient.  She hopes to make your experience at Broome Family Eye Care one to brag about to your friends and family.
